For more than 25 years the Chair of Visual Computing researches methods for the generation, processing and analysis of images and 3D-models. This includes disciplines such as computer graphics, visualization, geometry processing, virtual reality, computer vision, or 3d reconstruction.

According to "Papers with Code", Darius' and Linus'  Paper "ADOP: Approximate Differentiable One-Pixel Point Rendering" was the "most talked about paper in social media". Congratulations! See the project page ( for more information.

We welcome Bernhard Egger as new Professor at our chair. Bernhard holds a PhD in Computer Vision from the University of Basel and has spent the last three years as a PostDoc at MIT. He joined our group in September to build up the new "Cognitive Computer Vision Lab".
